Academic History
Having graduated, with First Class Honours, placing third in the year, from my undergraduate law degree (BCL Law & Society, DCU), I also have a Level 5 Major Award in Journalism (Distinction). My final year undergraduate dissertation, which received First Class Honours, explored the legal and political frameworks which shape the interactions between (advocacy oriented) non-governmental organisations and public institutions.
Employment History
During my degree I worked as Vice President (focusing on policy and advocacy) with a Brussels-based international NGO network, as a freelance rapporteur for European Union and Council of Europe institutions and a freelance trainer for third sector organisations in Brussels, Strasbourg, and Ireland. I have also worked as a barista in different cafes, a healthcare assistant, a cleaner and an administrator!
Artwork!
I undertook an apprenticeship in willow-weaving and produce willow baskets and sculptures, I also provide lessons to local community groups (more at IrishWillowBaskets).
